Susan M. (Vega) Duffield

Susan M. Duffield, 56, of Streator, passed away Saturday Dec. 22, 2018 at OSF Richard Owens Hospice Center in Peoria.
Per Susan’s request, cremation rites will be accorded and a memorial service will be held at a later date. The Elias Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Born December 6, 1962 in Streator, she was the daughter of John and Bernice (Soloman) Vega. She married Mark D. Duffield on October 22, 1982.
She is survived by her husband Mark of Streator, children Matthew (Joshua) Duffield of Forrestin, Jennifer (Tate) Galyen of Streator, Megan (Shayne) Schuler of Clarksville, TN, grandchildren Isabel, Lily Gwaltney, Tessa and William Galyen, Nico Kimes, and one due in May. Also surviving are siblings Patti, Mike and Daniel Vega.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Ronnie Vega and sister Sandra Bohannon.
She graduated from Streator Township High School in 1980, she worked at Aldi Distribution.
Susan was a loving wife, mother and memaw, she cherished her time with her family and was a loyal friend to everyone she knew. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
