Sharon Jean Olesen
A wonderful soul is gone. Born on April 16, 1941, Sharon Jean Olesen lived a life of devotion to her family, kindness, and love. The memories she generated will be treasured by her sister Evelyn (Jerry) Dodge, daughters Karen (Mark) Lovell, Kathy (Kendall) Tracey and her grandchildren Jessica (Ryan) Gramit, Cory Cox, Kristopher (Coryn) Tracey, Carly Tracey, and Grace Lovell. Sharon was also blessed to have a great-granddaughter, Quinn Gramit.
Sharon was married to the love of her life and best friend, Bill Olesen, who preceded her in death. Sharon represented everything good in this world, making her family her priority. She will be missed by many and remembered as a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She will be especially remembered by her lifetime friends in Streator and her new friends at Lafayette Apartments.
Daughter of George and Ethel Bessermin, Sharon grew up in Streator, Illinois where she spent most of her life. She moved to Macomb, Illinois in 2006.
For those wanting to honor Sharon in Macomb, a Celebration of Life will be held at Lafayette Apartments on Thursday, May 31st at 11:30 a.m. For family and friends in Streator, a graveside service will be held Friday, June 1st at 11:00 a.m. the St. Stephens Cemetery. The Elias Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Quinn Gramit Scholarship Fund at PNC Bank.
