Lucille Bernadine Dunham, 93, of Streator and formerly of Dana passed away Sunday August 26th at Heritage Health in Streator.
At Lucille’s request, cremation rites have been accorded and no services will be held. The Elias Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Born January 14, 1925 in Dana, IL, she was the daughter of Bernard and Georgina (Roth) Bishop. She married Howard A. Dunham on December 24, 1943 in Minonk, he passed March 8, 1998.
She is survived by 2 sons Howard B. “Barney” Dunham of Streator, William C. Dunham of Gilbert, AZ, grandchildren, John H. Dunham, Carrie Ann Dunham, Ryan (Jodee) Dunham, Kelly (Aaron) Bartnik and Alex Dunham, 5 great-grandchildren, 1 niece and 3 nephews.
She is preceded in death be her husband and 3 sisters. She was the last of her immediate family.
Lucille attended Dana Grade School and graduated from Dana High School in 1942, she was a homemaker and worked on her family farm. She also volunteered at the Democratic Precinct Township Board, was auditor for Dana Township and Fire Board.
Lucille lived a good life, she was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. The Dunham family would like to thank everyone at Evergreen Place and Heritage Health for their thoughtfulness, compassion and help.
Memorials may be directed to the donor’s choice.
