Shirley M. Keen

Shirley M. Keen, 90 of Streator, passed away at 11:25 p.m. Wednesday at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday September 22, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Streator. Pastor Kyle Talbot will officiate and also conduct graveside services in Riverview Cemetery. A visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church. The Elias Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.

Shirley was born April 9, 1925 in Blackstone, IL, she was the daughter of Virgil and Winnie (Bodnot) Keen.

She is survived by special friends Barb Beavers, Betty McLaughin and Dan "Pee-Wee" Lynch.

She was an only child and the last of her immediate family.

Shirley attended local grade schools and graduated from Streator Township High School, she owned Keen’s Service Station. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Streator, where she was the organist and taught Sunday School for many years.
