Richard Pajak

Richard Chester Pajak, 77, of Streator, passed away Friday Nov. 30, 2018 at Parker Nursing in Streator. Services for Richard Pajak will be private, the Elias Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Born December 11, 1940 in Streator, he was the son of Chester and Helen (Ficek) Pajak, he married Jean Marie Sroka September 22, 1962. He is survived by his wife Jean Marie of Streator, sons Timothy R, (Tetyana) Pajak of Coralville, IA, Gerald Pajak of Streator, sister Sylvia Lester of Streator, and 3 nephews James Kohrt, and Terry and Chet Lester. He is also survived by his special buddy cat Wrigley. He is preceded in death by his parents Chester and Helen Pajak, grandparents Jacob and Nellie Pajak. He attended local grade schools and graduated from Streator Township High School in 1959, he worked for Owens Glass and General Mills. He was a former member of St. Casimir’s Catholic Church now St. Michael the Archangel Parish, he was also a member of the Polish National Alliance. Richard was a loving husband and father, he will be missed by everyone who knew him, he loved hunting and fishing, his family trips to Lake of the Woods in Canada.
