Richard G. Hoskins

Richard G. Hoskins, 78, of Streator, passed away Wednesday March 28, 2018 at Heritage Health in Streator.
Funeral services for Richard Hoskins will be at 11 a.m. Saturday April 7, 2018 at the Elias Funeral Home. Burial with full military rites will follow the service in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
He was born April 30, 1939 in Streator, IL, he was the son of Betty Hoskins.
He is survived by his children Dean Hoskins, Renae Overocker, Julie (Don) Grubaugh, Glenn Hoskins all of Streator, James Hoskins, Jeff Hoskins and Christine Miller all of Oregon, many grandchildren including Crissy Hoskins, Blake Hoskins, Jacob Grubaugh, Piper Grubaugh and several great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Judy Madara, Marilyn Peacock, Maureen (Rolly) Henthorn and Brian (Barb) Watson and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother Betty Hoskins Ranger, grandparents Raymond and Louise Hoskins and brother Gene Kousr.
Richard graduated from Streator Township High School, he served in the United States Army, he worked at Streator Brickyard and Burns Security at LaSalle Nuclear Station, he was of the Baptist faith.
