Norma L. Wright, 78, of Streator, passed away Monday February 5, 2018 at Northwestern Medical Center in Chicago.
Funeral services for Norma Wright will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday Feb. 13, 2018 at the Elias Funeral Home, burial will follow the service in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Byron Grossman, Shane Adams, Ryan Emm, Tim Emm, Russell Adams, Jack Charles Berckemeyer and Jerry McMackin. A visitation will be from 11a.m. - 1p.m. Tuesday at the Elias Funeral Home.
Born February 2, 1940 in Streator, IL, she was the daughter of Norman and Goldie (Robinson) Emm, she married Robert A. Wright April 5, 1969 in Streator.
She is survived by her husband Robert of Streator, children Dawanna (Russell) Wright-Adams of Pinedale, WY, Diane (Larry) Boyer of Phoenix, AZ, Robert Wright Jr. of Phoenix, AZ, grandchildren Anne’ Grossman, Byron Grossman, Shane Adams, Deena (Jason) Winchester, Debra Lomak-Swann and Stephen Lomak, great-grandchildren Lyric Robert Grossman and Gracie and Levi Winchester, Lyndsey Swan and Serena Mesa. Also surviving are siblings Larry (Patsy) Emm of Streator, Linda Rapson of Olgesby, Phil (Kay) Emm of Streator, several nieces and nephews and Aunt Dorothy Swital of Streator.
She is preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Tara Boyer, siblings Donald Emm, Charlotte Michael, Karen Shepard, Sharon Berckemeyer and Patricia Goodrich.
Norma worked at Thatchers Glass and Anchor Glass, she was a member of Central Church of Christ where she did the Torch Newsletter for many years, she was a member of the P.N.A, she loved bowling and was inducted into the Woman’s Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 2012.
