Lois A. (Leister) Daugherty

Lois A. Daugherty, 95, of Streator, passed away Monday Sept. 11, 2017 at Heritage Health in Minonk, IL
Funeral services for Lois Daugherty will be at 11 a.m. Friday Sept. 15, 2017 at the Elias Funeral Home, with burial at 3 p.m. Friday in Patty Cemetery, Pontiac, IL, Serving as pallbearers will be members of her family and friends. Visitation will be held 10 - 11 a.m., immediately before the funeral service.
Lois was born August 29, 1922 in Pontiac, IL. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Effie (Morris) Leister and her sister, Dorothy Leister. She was married to Robert Daugherty, who died October 9, 1981.
Lois is survived by her children Bill (Debbie) Daugherty of Columbus, OH, Terri (Mark) Ricklefs of Wichita, KS, grandchildren Scott Daugherty, Jennifer Daugherty, Michael Ricklefs and Kyle Ricklefs.
Lois attended Pontiac High School and Rockford Business College. Lois was affiliated with the First Baptist Church where she was involved with the Missionary Society for many years. Lois also managed several local supper clubs and restaurants including the Club Grove, Streator Elks, Streator Country Club and Paradise Island. Lois was a loving mother and grandmother and was extremely thankful to all those who helped her stay independent and in her own home for many years and very thankful to all those who helped her while in Heritage Health in Minonk.
