Joann Teegardin

Joann Teegardin, 77, of Streator, passed away Sat. Jan. 12th at her home. Funeral services for Joann Teegardin will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Elias Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service in Hillcrest Memorial Park, serving as pallbearers will be members of her family and friends. A visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Friday at the Elias Funeral Home.
Born April 18, 1941 in Streator, she was the daughter of Pete and Geraldine (Carletti) Giacinto, she married James Teegardin December 17, 1961.
She is survived by her husband Jim of Streator, brothers Sam (Cathy) Giacinto of Streator, Pete (Ann) Giacinto of Harrisburg, AR, and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister Justine Fraher.
She graduated from Streator Township High School im 1959, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Streator.
She worked at Top Save, Hornsby’s and Rudy’s Grocery for several years, the she and her husband owned and operated the Lock Up in Streator for many years.
