Jeffery M. Harcar

Jeffery M. Harcar, 41, of Streator, passed away Tuesday December 12, 2017 in Chicago.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday December 20, 2017 at St. Michael the Archangel Parish, graveside services will follow the mass in St. Stephen’s Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Zach Harcar, Tristen Harcar, Shane Spellious Jr., Troy Harcar, Bob Harcar Jr. and Joe Wilson.  Honorary pallbearers will be Dan Harcar Jr. and John Michael Harcar.  A visitation will be from 9 - 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Elias Funeral Home.
Born October 29, 1976 in Streator, he was the son of Daniel and Chris (Spellious) Harcar Sr.
He is survived by his mother Chris (Pat) Studnicki of Streator, father Dan (Jacqueline Scott) Harcar Sr., son Zach Harcar of Pontiac, grandson Layten Harcar of Pontiac, brother Dan (Annette) Harcar Jr. of Streator, step-sisters Andrea Yancy and Ashley Yancy both of Kankakee, great-grandmother Luretta Fagg of Streator, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, brother Michael Harcar and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jeff went to St. Stephen’s grade school and Streator Township High School, he worked as a boilermaker/laborer in Chicago.  He loved spending time with his son and grandson, he was a outdoors man who had a passion for fishing and camping.
He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
