David L. Vandewarker

David L. Vandewarker, 64, of Streator, passed away Monday December 11, 2017 at his home.
A Celebration of David’s Life will be at 12 noon Saturday December 16, 2017 at the Elias Funeral Home, full military rites will be accorded after the service. A visitation will be from 10 a.m. till 12 noon Saturday at the Elias Funeral Home.
Born July 25, 1953 in Streator, he was the son of Leo and Betty (Dickinson) Vandewarker, he married Sandra Rexroat in February 2012.
He is survived by his wife Sandy of Streator, children Faith (Sean) Stephenson of Vail, AZ, Laura (Justin) Hayward of St. Charles, IL, Emily Vandewarker of Marseilles, IL and David Vandewarker of Spring Hill, FL, grandchildren Makalya, Samantha Stephenson, Nicholas Hayward and Alexia Vandewarker. He is also survived by 3 brother-in-laws, 3 sister-in-laws, several nieces and nephews and his beloved dogs Tootsie and Axel.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Richard, William and Deborah.
Dave attended local grade schools and Streator Township High School, he served in the United States Army, he was a welder at Vactor Manufacturing retiring in 2015.
Dave was a loving husband, father and grandfather, he operated 2 antique stores in Streator and loved antiquing and Ebay.
