David J. “Dave” Novotney, 62, of Streator, passed away Friday July 6th in Streator. Family services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday July 11th at the Elias Funeral Home. Burial will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, serving as pallbearers will be Scott Novotney, Josh Novotney, James Poulaki, Ed Hornick, Jana Novotney and Edmund Scott.
Born January 9, 1956 in Streator, he was the son of Eugene “Gene” and Dolores “Sis” (Noon) Novotney.
He was formerly married to Tina Halco, he is survived by his daughter Kristie (Andy) Benzine of Wisconsin, grandchildren, Trevor, Tyler and Addie Benzine, siblings Beth (Ed Hornick) Novotney, Michael Novotney, Scott (Kelly) Novotney, Jana (Edmund Scott) Novotney all of Streator, nephew's and nieces Josh (Soni) Novotney, Casey (Adam) Novotney-Shabala, Jenilee (Matt) Novotney-Spaniol, Alexa (Mason) Green and Kelly Mears. He is also survived by a uncles Bob Hunter and William “Bill”(Pat) Novotney of Grand Ridge and several cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law Eunice Novotney and aunt Carolyn Hunter.
Dave spent a lot of his life in Arizona where he worked at a Art Gallery and several casino’s, he enjoyed going to casino’s in Laughlin, NV and watching the Chicago Cubs. A special thanks to home health hospice, especially Sue, Jamie, Lisa and Andrea.
