Burt A. Mc Coy, 81, of Streator, passed away Sunday February 3, 2018 at Parker Nursing Home in Streator.
At Burt’s request cremation rites have bee accorded and there will be no services. The Elias Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Born November 18, 1937 in Streator, he was the son of Alonzo and Mabel (Schoenberger) Mc Coy, he married Necia Lunderman November 3, 1963, she passed away May 10, 2014.
He is survived by grandchildren Christen Schriener of Streator, Scott Schriener of South America, Chad Brown, Jeremy Brown, Jason Brown and Tracy Brown, great-grandchildren Anthony Blameuser, Kelsi Rodriguez, Rhianna Hansen, Keira Eddards and Donovan Eddards. Also surviving are great-great grandchildren Darian Schriener, Josh Brown, Isabella Brown, Samantha Doty and Christopher Clift.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife and all his siblings.
He graduated from Streator Township High School in 1955, then served in the United States Army.
He worked at Knoedler Mfg, retired from Streator Brick and helped farm for sevealr years. He served on the board of Streator Community Credit Union.
