Jerzy L. Makarewicz

Jerzy L. Makarewicz, 71, of Kangley, passed away Monday June 12, 2017 at his home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday June 20, 2017 at St. Michael the Archangel Parish. Cremation rites will be accorded after the mass and burial will take place at a later date. The Elias Funeral Home is assisting the family with the services.
Born October 8, 1945 in Czestolowa, Poland, he was the son of Nicholas and Irene (Zardzin) Makarewicz.
He is survived by his son Phil (Brooke Nevins) Makarewicz of Ottawa, grandson Noah of Ottawa, his mother Irene of Streator, sister Barbara (Andrew) Karkowska and niece Katazyna (Jed) Zejczek.
He is preceded in death by his father.
Jerzy retired from Karri Inc. in Gridley, he was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Parish.  He loved to read, enjoyed classical music and history.
Memorials may be directed to the donor’s choice.
