Jerry Max Heinz

Jerry Max Heinz, 79, of Streator, passed away at Heritage Health Monday at 3:15 a.m..  Private family funeral services will be Saturday July 1, 2017 at the Elias Funeral Home, burial will follow the services in Riverview Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Juan Santoya, David Santoya, Dan Dougherty, Dan Dougherty Jr., Curtis Heinz and Ben Bodznick.  A visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the Elias Funeral Home.
Max was born February 28, 1938 in Streator, he was the son of Gerald and Lucille (Hall) Heinz, he married Mary Lou Dougherty on June 10, 1959.
He is survived by his wife Mary Lou, sons Derrick (Patty) Heinz of Streator, Troy (Kim) Heinz of Chattanooga, TN, daughter Laurie (Juan) Santoyo of Belvidere, IL, 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his son Jeffrey Scott Heinz and brother David Heinz.
Max graduated from Streator Township High School and attended Bradley University, he was employed at Streator Dependable for 42 years, he loved camping, fishing and hunting.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be truly missed.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family of Max Heinz.
